A+ World Academy is a non-profit boarding school established and owned by the Sorlandet Foundation. The school has international teachers and the language of instruction is English. The school offers Advanced Placement courses, as well as our own signature program that include field studies, guest lecturers and a learning optimization seminar. Through small classes, a 7:1 teacher-student ratio, university guidance, individual student profiles and student support around the clock, we offer an education adapted to your needs.

All A+ World Academy students follow a tailor-made program based on a selection of Advanced Placement courses best suited to their interests and university and career goals. Advanced Placement (AP) is a course program, created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.
Students must complete each of the 4 elements of the core programme:
- English Literature and Composition
- Art, Communication & Technology
- Physical Education
Students must complete 3 courses from any of the following 15 courses in the 3 fields of study.
- Environmental Science
- World History
- Human Geography
- Comparative Government or Politics
Students must complete each of the 4 signature programme components.
- The A+ Extended Essay
- The A+ Seminar
- The A+ Guest Lecturer Series
- A+ Field Studies
